Life Skills-Based Education (LSBE) Teachers Training

ACT International successfully conducted a one-day Life Skills-Based Education (LSBE) Teachers’ Training in Peshawar, in collaboration with UNFPA, UNHCR, and the Elementary & Secondary Education Department (ESED), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The training strengthened teachers’ understanding and practical application of life skills, student-centered teaching approaches, engaging pedagogy, community involvement, and action planning to create safer, more supportive, and empowering learning environments for children and adolescents, including those from refugee and host communities. The training concluded with a Closing Ceremony attended by representatives from partner organizations: Mr. Jaffar Mansoor Abbasi – Director, Elementary & Secondary Education Department, KP Ms. Reyhaneh Shakibaie – Head of UNHCR Peshawar Ms. Mahjabeen – Provincial Programme Coordinator, UNFPA Mr. Mubashir Nabi – Founder, President & CEO, ACT International Addressing the participants, Mr. Mubashir Nabi emphasized the critical role of teachers in integrating life skills into everyday learning and enabling young people to develop the knowledge, confidence, resilience, and skills needed to navigate real-life challenges. The Closing Ceremony featured partner remarks, participants’ reflections, certificate distribution, and a group photograph, marking the successful completion of the training. ACT International extends its sincere appreciation to ESED-KP, UNFPA, UNHCR, the trainers, and participating teachers for their valuable partnership, support, and active engagement. Together, we are strengthening teachers, empowering learners, and building more inclusive and resilient learning environments.
