ACT International, in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), is successfully implementing the Asset Creation and Livelihood Interventions Project in Tehsil Alipur, District Muzaffargarh. The initiative combines immediate food assistance with community asset creation and livelihood restoration, helping vulnerable households meet their immediate needs while strengthening their capacity to recover and build resilience.

As part of the ongoing food distribution campaign, 41.58 metric tons of food have been distributed to 420 beneficiaries out of a planned 2,734 beneficiaries. The distribution process is being carried out in a transparent, efficient, and accountable manner to ensure that assistance reaches those most in need.

Unlike conventional food assistance programmes, the Asset Creation and Livelihood Interventions Project integrates humanitarian support with long-term recovery efforts. Beneficiaries participate in activities that contribute to the creation and rehabilitation of community assets while receiving food assistance, enabling communities to restore livelihoods, improve local infrastructure, and enhance resilience against future shocks.

Through its partnership with WFP, ACT International remains committed to supporting vulnerable communities across Pakistan by implementing sustainable interventions that address immediate food security needs while laying the foundation for lasting economic recovery and resilient livelihoods.
